hello, meet ginni

Ginni is a Canadian artist, grad student, dog-parent, and active community member currently based on the east coast of Vancouver Island, BC.

Ginni is often known for her work with natural pigments and abstract ‘land portraits’ using simplified representations of natural elements. Nature’s shapes, colours, and textures are central in her art practice.

Drawing inspiration and raw pigments directly from the land, the responsibilities and relationships Ginni holds with the materials she works with and the places they’re from are deeply important to her. A sense of play, connection to a place and time, and techniques of both art and science are present in her work.
